2011 Appel Farm Arts & Music Festival, posted with vodpod
My 2011 summer concert season started with a great day at the Appel Farm Arts & Music Festival in Elmer, N.J., on Saturday, June 4.
I was able to see David Wax Museum, Gogol Bordello, Good Old War, Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.
The day also featured a great set from Nicole Atkins & The Black Sea. And thanks to a special “social media” promotion, my wife and I had the chance to meet Nicole and her bandmates in a special meet & greet after their performance.
Nicole, Irina, Jeremy and Ezra were quite awesome, taking pictures, signing stuff and talking with those of us invited to the exclusive meet & greet. Nicole and the band took a photo with me and Alison, and signed a poster we bought at the festival — both of which can be seen in the slideshow above.
